Philip has worked in the financial services industry
since 1977. He joined Norwich Union working initially
in the actuarial area of their Head Office in Norwich
and finally becoming a broker consultant in their flagship
office in the City of London. Philip joined the Somerville
Group in 1988 to set up the Financial Services
business and became a Chartered Financial Planner
in 2008.

Steve has worked in the financial services industry
since 1972. He joined Mercantile & General in that
year before moving on to Norwich Union in 1974.
Steve was heading up the pensions department
at Norwich Union’s Romford office when he left at
the end of 1988 to become an IFA with Blackmore
Financial Services. Steve was with Blackmore
Financial Services until March 2001 when the
company was taken over by Alexander Forbes
Financial Services and remained there until April
2005 when he joined Somerville.

Brian has worked in the financial services industry
since 1966. His initial career was with Nationwide
Building Society. At the time he left Nationwide
in the mid-1990s he was a district manager
responsible for three branches in the Hertfordshire
area. He joined NatWest as a Financial Planning
Manager in 1995. In 2001 he joined Somerville
Financial Services, and in 2006 he was awarded
the Personal Finance Society diploma.

Gavin has worked in the financial services industry
since 1995. Having always worked within the IFA sector
Gavin started his career at Beckett Financial Services
and worked up from junior to lead the Group Personal
Pension team. Gavin then joined Somerville Financial
Services in 2000 as an adviser and worked alongside
Philip Gough for almost 5 years. In an effort to extend
his experience Gavin moved to another regional IFA
as an Employee Benefit Adviser and then later joined
the national accountancy firm Grant Thornton as
part of their Financial Planning department. Gavin then
rejoined Somerville Financial Services in May 2008.
